Fazlur R. Khan Life-Cycle Civil Engineering Medal

The Fazlur R. Khan Life-Cycle Civil Engineering Medal was established to honor Fazlur R. Khan outstanding contributions to structural engineering in general and in particular to life-cycle civil engineering. This award is made to a member of the International Association of Life-Cycle Civil Engineering who has made definite contributions to the advancement of life-cycle civil engineering through journal or conference papers, or other written presentations.

IALCCE Awards

The IALCCE awards are made to members of IALCCE for distinguished achievements in the areas of Life-Cycle Civil Engineering. 

• Senior Award (nominees must be above 42 years of age by January 1st, 2025)

• Junior Award (nominees must be 42 years of age or younger at January 1st, 2025)

Selections are  based on past achievements.

IALCCE Awards Committee and Ceremony

Nominations for the IALCCE Awards to be presented at IALCCE2025 have to be sent by June 10, 2025, to Professor Hitoshi Furuta, Chair of the IALCCE Awards Committee, at  hitoshifuruta@yahoo.co.jp or furuta@kansai-u.ac.jp.

An award nomination shall consist of a nomination letter (limited to one page in length). In the nomination please include the birth date of the candidate. Curriculum vitae or other documentation will not be considered. Self nominations are not accepted.

The 2025 IALCCE Awards will be  presented at the Awards Ceremony during the Gala Dinner on July 17, 2025.
